Singapore Golden Jubilee

Singapore celebrated its Golden Jubilee for its 50th Year Independence since 1965 from 7-10 August 2015. The SG50 celebrations were in full swing and the approximately 1.7m crowd joined the SG50 celebrations in Singapore while overseas Singaporeans gathered across the world to celebrate

A slew of treats and activities were rolled out over the Jubilee weekend. It featured carnivals, picnics, fabulous food, free admissions to many attractions, free goodie packs in order for everyone to celebrate with a blast. Apart from that, there were so many different SG50 decorations this year besides the usual flag-hanging tradition.

F-16 and aircraft planes from the Singapore Air Force and Singapore airlines respectively flew over the Padang grounds near the central business district paying tribute to Singapore's Golden Jubilee.
It was indeed awesome, not forgetting the nationalist songs blared across the parade.

Fireworks shot off far in the night sky before exploding in different beautiful colours to the delight of the gathered crowd at the Marina Bay area and the city was beautifully illuminated. :)
